Hi, I'm Brody Bates. I'm a Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Summit View Counseling. I have worked in the mental health field in various capacities and specialties for 17 years. In that time I have come to understand the needs of individuals, couples, and families as they face challenges which can seem overwhelming.

Summit View Counseling  grew out of our recognition that there is a need for qualified and compassionate mental health service providers. I have come to appreciate the impact of evidenced based psychotherapies in helping the clients I work with achieve the results they are seeking. I also recognize the power of being present and flexible as needs in treatment evolve.

With a wide range of experience available, I am confident that if you are suffering with mental health issues, we can help you on your journey to a better, more fulfilling, and satisfying life.

Welcome to Summit View Counseling--we are happy to have you!

Hello, I’m Wendy Haddock. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 16 years of experience working with people with complex mental health and substances abuse issues. I am currently licensed in both Utah and Wisconsin and am seeing clients virtually.

I have a passion for helping people work through events and experiences in life, to find true self, and develop a path for whole person wellness. I am a trauma trained EMDR therapist. I use other cognitive behavioral skill building techniques including mindfulness, self-compassion, and self-esteem, to fill in personal resourcing gaps. I also recently became trained as a Structured Family Recovery (SFR) counselor.  I enjoy working with couples and families! Please learn more about my family work here:

I believe we all have a story to tell. Sometimes we get lost in the painful parts of the story and lose touch with our strengths for dealing with hard things. I look forward to supporting you on your path to wellness.

Hi, I’m Jennifer Long and I'm a counselor at Summit View. I work with people of all ages and have a special love for youth and adolescents.

Through my experience, I have come to understand that although everyday challenges affect our lives, having support can make all the difference in the world.

Every individual is worthy of love and help.

Although every journey is different, I am happy to be a part of yours. Sincerely caring for you as an individual is the most important thing to me as your counselor.  My goal is that as we work together, we will discover and develop the strengths needed to manage difficult times.

Hi, I'm Mayalene Bates. My background is in Recreation Therapy and have worked in the mental health field with teens and adults in many outdoor and high adventure experiences.  I have seen both recreation therapy and psychotherapy positively change clients daily lives, their outlook, and their hope for the future.

At Summit View Counseling I currently help manage the office needs. I enjoy helping others get into nature to find healing, grounding, and direction.  I love many outdoors activities, especially riding my beautiful horses in the mountains around Utah.

Welcome to Summit View!
